From the post name you already know that I'm going to be writing about Primark, also know as Primarni. This is the name given to Primark by people that are posh, acting like they're shopping at Armani. I find this quite funny actually, especially when these people come out of Primark with big bags full of clothes trying to hide the fact that they can't be seen dead in there. Psshhttt, get over yourself!
I love Primark, I think its the perfect shop to get all of your latest fashion needs! Fashion is changing so rapidly that it's not practical to be spending lots and lots, especially with the economical recession that we are suffering from (hahahaha my bit of formality).. but yeah, we simply aren't millionaires! I'm happy to admit that I have quite a few Primark tops in my cupboard, which I'm taking on holiday with me! Here's a few for you to see; I'm really sorry about my hair guys (need a haircut). If you can't see the tops clearly, it's okay because I'll just explain them to you!
The top on the left is a sleeveless denim top. I never used to like the denim look because I used to see my uncle wear a denim shirt and he's like 50, and as a result I thought denim should just be worn in the form of jeans! Like I've said in previous posts, it's really important to experiment with fashion because you find out more about yourself and majority of the time it always looks nice when you try something different by stepping out of your comfort zone. When denim came in back in fashion as tops, jackets and gilets etc, I thought I'd go to Primark and buy a top to try out. Not only is this top easy to wear, it's comfortable and perfect for many occassions! Here I've teamed it with my famous black heels;) (all the other ones are packed) and black leggings - it's slick. However saying this, you obviously can't wear denim on denim so I wouldn't ever wear this top with jeans or jeggings because you'd just clash your clothes and look weird. This top could also work be tucked into a summer skirt to look like a dress - that would actually look really nice! I got this top for £10; I would tell people to buy it, but I would say get one size up to your normal size because it's quite a short top and to tie up the front of the top nicely, you need a bit of space to pull the material down or you might find your belly hanging out - what a lovely sight;)
Okay so the next top is a cream chiffon full sleeve top, with gold buttons going halfway down the top and buttons on the sleeves so you can make them shorter or longer depending on your preference. From the picture, it's clear that I have folded the sleeves up, and tucked the top into my leggings. This top looks perfect even when it's not tucked in; it's a nice flowy tunic so you can wear it either way. I loved this top when I first saw it because it's just so nice and casual but at the same time looks gorgeous! It can be worn all year around - in summer you don't need to wear a full length top underneath. Even though I've worn the top with leggings, it can be worn with jeggings, beige jeans, and normal black jeans. I personally wouldn't wear it with blue jeans purely because I don't think it would match. I have worn pearl earrings and pearl bracelets with it (also from Primark) because this contrasts nicely with the colour of the top; nevertheless other gold jewellery would match just as well because of the buttons. This chiffon material could represent the vintage trend - it's so elegant! I would definitely recommend this top to anyone - it's one of my favourites in my whole wardrobe, and it wasn't even expensive. I got this top for £12, and it's available in like 4 other colours, including black, purple, beige and pink. I would class it as a wardrobe essential!
My last top is a sleeveless lace top, which I have already spoken about in my post about Vintage (check it out if you haven't already)! The difference between this top and the others is that 1) it's the only one from Primark and 2) it's my favourite because it has collars and an elegant colour contrast. My hair covers up the top but like the lining in the middle, the top has black collars. On the lining are black buttons so this top is easy to put on without messing up your hair! I have tucked this top into my leggings, just like the others. I have done this because the top is quite short anyway and when out it looks like it doesn't fit me even when it does! But as you can see, where it tucks I have taken some of the top out to give it some texture and fall nicely - not just go straight down. You could easily wear a camisole underneath this top; I haven't to show the fact that I am wearing lace. This top is available in a couple of other colours, but this was my favourite! This top can be worn with black leggings and black jeans. Anything blue or any other colour would clash with the black lining. This top was £8, and even though this top is beautiful, again I would buy a bigger size than normal because of the short length and for this top to only be worn in Summer. It can make you feel pretty cold, unless you have a cardigan or something on top. Because of the collars, a necklace isn't needed because it would ruin the presentation of the top. Nice earrings, and a bracelet or ring will look perfect and won't make you look overdressed!
I hope you've learnt a thing or two about styling clothes, and decided to open up to Primark if you haven't already. Primark also sells pretty jewellery that would go with any of these tops. To an extent, I would say that Primark is better than designers like Armani because not only are they cheaper but most of the clothes are nicer to be honest!
